Why live on the edge...jump off instead!

So I spent my second Nadaam in Mongolia at a Chinese zinc mine!

I went into the aimag center for Matt's birthday, intending to return to my site to celebrate Nadaam, but the buses stopped running and so I was stranded in the aimag center. The three of us went out to the mine and were cooked awesome Chinese food....twas awesome...made some new friends!

I had to move to a new ger! My family knocked on my door early one morning and told me I had to move! It was just across the hashaa, but I still had to face the fact that I have accumulated way too much stuff here in Mongolia... :)

I got to fly to UB! Woot! The downside.... I had to step over a body bag to get to my seat! I would try and explain this....but it's just too much fun to let this speak for itself and say 'only in Mongolia'..... :)

I went to visit my host family the other day....it was fantastic.... The car ride to Darkhan is beautiful...windows down...cool breeze...awesome... Got a free ride to Dulaahkhan, visited (almost) all the host families, met the new trainees, and went back to UB the same day.

Heading out west soon and I am ridiculously excited for my road trip back to UB!
